Whether it’s an Oktoberfest party, a backyard BBQ or just Friday finally rolling around, Ockerfest is the kind of beer that feels right whenever people get together.

Because sometimes the best excuse for opening a good beer and celebrating is that somebody suggested opening a good beer.

Flavour

sweet toast, savoury bread, gentle nuttiness and a clean, mellow bitterness.

Smooth and malt-forward, with a little more richness than your everyday lager, still dangerously easy to enjoy.

Vienna malt, Pilsner malt, Munich malt, Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops, German lager yeast.

Where it started

Long before JKB Brewing existed, brewing an Oktoberfest beer had become a yearly tradition for our founder Jamie.

Now that tradition has become part of JKB, with Ockerfest.

Every year, we’ll brew an Oktoberfest-inspired beer. What that is, who knows?

Whatever the case, you don’t need to wait until the next Oktoberfest to raise a beer and celebrate…you just need a good tasty beer.

Every JKB Beer starts with a question, "What if..."

What if Oktober beer didn't have to be just another lager... or belong only at Oktoberfest?

We love Oktoberfest for the simple reason that it gives people an excuse to get together. Good food, good beer, good conversation and another round before anyone’s ready to go home.

So we took inspiration from the richer malt character of traditional red coloured Oktoberfest beers of the past and combined it with the lighter crush-ability of a modern Fest Lager.

The result?

Festive spirit captured in a beer you can happily drink long after the Oktoberfest decorations have been packed away.
